New on www.wrightinracine.com - artifacts that are part of the 99-year loan from the Foundation archives to SC Johnson, for their new permanent Wright exhibition, unpacked today in Racine after being shipped from T-West.

Margo Stipe has informed me that I was given wrong information about the table sconce. It is from the Heath House. _________________ Mark Hertzberg |

| When will the artifacts be put on exhibit? This makes me wonder what else is at Taliesin. |

| Thanks for the update, Mark. But this story makes me wonder why the sconce is owned by the Foundation and is not where it really belongs, in Buffalo at the Heath Residence. Any behind the scenes knowledge on this? |

Does the Foundation own the Heath residence?
Thanks for the info, Mark - I plan to hit many FLW sites in Wisconsin in May. I hope the display is ready then. |

Olgivanna LW acquired the Heath House stained glass in the early 1960s from the then-owner (I don't know the name of the owner). _________________ "The building as architecture is born out of the heart of man, permanent consort to the ground, comrade to the trees, true reflection of man in the realm of his own spirit." | In answer to your question, jmcnally, the Heath Residence is privately owned and occupied. |

There is a degree of confusion as to how many items from the Heath House were taken by the Foundation while the sale of the house was pending to the current owner around 1970.
Regardless, the Foundation has allowed access by several of us researching the Heath House in order to study and publish the pieces. Many items such as art glass windows are still visible on tours at Taliesin.

The exhibition will likely open late, late May/early June.

My understanding is that those items previously seen on tours of Taliesin will stay at Taliesin, while others that were in storage are going to Racine. (I don't know how many items will remain in storage and even if I did, I'm willing to bet I couldn't tell you!) _________________ "The building as architecture is born out of the heart of man, permanent consort to the ground, comrade to the trees, true reflection of man in the realm of his own spirit."
